The Virginia House of Delegates approved a bill sponsored by a local lawmaker that would keep state money from cities or counties whose services for children in need don’t meet legal requirements.
The measure, sponsored by Del. Richard P. “Dickie” Bell, R.-Staunton, cleared the House unanimously Friday.
Bell is sponsoring the bill for the Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, he said.
