Vector Industries seeks legislative help in boosting employment

WAYNESBORO — Vector Industries employs 85 people with intellectual and other disabilities, but the workload at the Waynesboro nonprofit has increased recently, and the need for more workers has risen along with it.

Vector, which has been in operation since 1969, provides packaging and assembling services for companies such as Nelson County’s Devils Backbone. Vector CEO Chrissy Johnston candidly says “we need people. Our phone rings with work.”
