Shenandoah Valley legislators say that the fiscal 2013-14 budget proposed by Gov. Bob McDonnell on Monday has good news with a projected state revenue increase, and that the proposal should offer food for thought by legislators when they gather next month in Richmond.
“This is a very good start for the budget process,’’ said Del. Steve Landes, R-Weyers Cave. “Now it (the budget) moves to the legislature, and we’ll see what the priorities are.”
There were concerns expressed by one area legislator about the governor’s spending proposal for both transportation and higher education.
