FISHERSVILLE, Va. --
A familiar message heard at local government meetings in the past few months is how the Virginia General Assembly has dropped the ball on funding to the state’s localities.
Members of area’s legislative delegation said Wednesday that while the final state budget might not make everyone happy, it was not a bad budget.
Del. Dickie Bell, who represents Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County, said the final version of the budget offered more K-12 revenue than Gov. Bob McDonnell promised.
