Legislative Breakfast Focuses on education, transportation and "fiscal cliff"

STAUNTON -- While much of the  discussion at Wednesday's Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce legislative breakfast focused on the bread and butter issues of education and transportation, the fiscal cliff in Washington was never far away.

"The uncertainty hangs over us like a cloud," said Del. Dickie Bell, R-Staunton, to members of the chamber at The Legacy at North Augusta. "There is no denying it. We are a little bit hamstrung. Hopefully there will be a resolution."

Del. Steve Landes, R-Weyers Cave, said whatever happens in Washington impacts what happens in Richmond, and what happens in Richmond impacts localities across Virginia.
