STAUNTON, VA – Del. Richard P. “Dickie” Bell (R-Staunton) announced today that former Governor George Allen has endorsed his re-election campaign. Governor Allen joined Delegate Bell today at a luncheon at 12:00 noon at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in Waynesboro.
"Dickie Bell is a proven, strong leader working for families, small business owners and wholesome values. Dickie is a dedicated common sense conservative who knows and persuasively advocates for the ideas that will spur job growth, rather than burdensome government growth.” said Allen. “Unlike the punishing policies from Washington, we need to reinvigorate the entrepreneurial spirit of America. And we need Dickie Bell in the House of Delegates with Virginia showing America the way to positively restore real opportunity for all. I hope that Dickie Bell will be re-elected to keep honestly fighting for Virginia families and foundational principles."
“I am humbled and honored to have received Governor Allen’s endorsement.” said Delegate Bell. “Governor Allen is a treasured friend and a great leader in Virginia. I am grateful for his continued support.”
Elected to the House of Delegates in 2009, Delegate Bell represents the 20th District, which currently includes Highland County, portions of Augusta and Rockingham Counties, and the City of Staunton. The newly drawn 20th District will also include parts of Nelson County and the City of Waynesboro.
